This is the second course in the Social Health Services program of study. Each class in our program of study needs to be taken in order so they scaffold and build ideas on one another.

Course Description
Lifespan Development builds basic knowledge in human growth and development. Upon completion of the course, proficient students will have knowledge of developmental theory, principles of growth, behavior of children from conception through adolescence, adult development and aging, and death and dying.
FCCLA
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is the co-curricular career and technical student organization which has FAMILY as its central focus. Students plan and implement service learning activities through participation in FCCLA.
Prerequisites: Introduction to Human Studies

Grade Scale:
A: 90-100 B: 80-89 C:70-79 D: 60-69 F: 0-59
Nine Weeks Grades and Semester Grade:
Percentages used to average grades in classes without a state mandated exam:
- 40% 1st or 3rd nine weeks + 10% mid-term (9weeks) test = beginning nine weeks grade.
- 40% 2nd or 4th nine weeks + 10% final semester test = final nine weeks grade
- Beginning nine weeks grade + final nine weeks grade/2 = Final Letter Grade

BELL RINGERS – Will be given weekly. Bell Ringers that have not been submitted into Canvas by 3:00pm each Friday will NOT be allowed to make up. You have a week to get all bell ringers completed.

Cell phone not put in charging station the first 5 minutes of class and found being used when teaching -
STRIKE ONE WARNING - Phone is placed in charging station.
STRIKE TWO – Phone is placed in charging station. Lose privilege to charge.
STRIKE THREE – Phone is placed in charging station. Lose privilege to charge. Phone must stay in charging station entire class time. Cannot pick up until class is over.
STRIKE FOUR - Teacher sends phone to the office and write up.
