Computer Science Foundations
Welcome! My name is Jennifer Reaves, and I’m proud to be a part of the family here at West Greene. I was born and raised in Greene County. I am married and have two amazing daughters and a sweet border collie, Lexie.
My journey in education has been both rewarding and diverse. I began my career at Camp Creek Elementary, where I served as the Library Media Specialist for 15 years. As that role evolved into a true media and technology-focused position, I developed a strong interest in computer programming. I was inspired by how coding encouraged students to think critically and solve problems creatively—skills that are more important than ever in today’s world.
My educational background includes:
-
2001 – A.S. in General Studies, Walters State Community College
-
2007 – B.S. in K–6 Education, Tusculum University
-
2012 – M.Ed. in Educational Media & Technology (K–12), East Tennessee State University
-
2014 – Ed.S. in Administration & Supervision, Union University
As an educator, my goal is to create a supportive and engaging environment where all students feel confident exploring the world of computer science. I’m excited to continue helping students grow into creative problem solvers and responsible digital citizens.
