Soccer Girls

Each August the Lady Buffs Soccer team collects stuff animals for Teddy Bear for Trauma for the Tusculum Police Dept. When officers answer calls for service, they sometimes encounter young children caught in traumatic, emotional and unstable situations. The Teddy Bears for Trauma program offers these children a stuffed animal in the hopes of providing some comfort. The stuffed animals are used to help young children cope with distress and bring comfort and companionship. With this reassuring gesture, officers are also able to create a bond and help children realize that they are there to help.
