AXA Achievement Scholarship

The AXA Achievement Scholarship, sponsored by the AXA Foundation, provides scholarship awards of $2,500, $10,000 and $25,000, with recipients in every state nationwide. In addition, every recipient’s high school will receive a grant of $1,000. The program is open to high school seniors who plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Applicants must be United States citizens or legal residents and must have demonstrated ambition and self-drive as evidenced by an outstanding achievement in a school, community, or workplace activity.

 
 

BURGER KING Scholars Program

Integrity, high standards, entrepreneurial spirit, good citizenship and education were the values that defined BURGER KING® co-founder James W. McLamore. It was those values that helped realize a dream and it is those same values that are the core of the BURGER KING McLAMORE Foundation. Administered by the Foundation, the BURGER KING Scholars program assists employees, employees’ spouses or domestic partners, employees’ children and high school seniors in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada in continuing their education.

High school seniors are invited to apply for the Burger King Scholars program if they live in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico; have a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent; be active in their community through volunteering, sports, clubs and/or religious organizations; and plan to enroll full-time in 2019-20 at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico.

Church Mutual Religious Scholar Program

Open Next Academic Year  |  Deadline: April  |  National

The Church Mutual Religious Scholars Program, established by CM CARES, is offering 50 scholarships of $5,000 each to the religious leaders of tomorrow, totaling $250,000 to assist students pursuing an advanced degree in religious studies.

To apply, students must be enrolled in a full-time, advanced degree religious studies program at an accredited theological seminary, college or university of higher learning in the United States for the entire 2019-20 academic year. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent), and must demonstrate personal impact through their education, work experiences, and volunteerism.

In addition, applicants must be committed to entering the practice of full-time ministry in the United States following completion of studies — including leading a denominational congregation, or worship group, or serving in religious leadership at a house of worship. Religious students of all denominations are encouraged to apply.

Up to fifty (50) awards will be granted; awards are one-time only and not renewable.

Every student deserves a chance to realize their potential. That’s why Dr Pepper gave away over $1,000,000 in tuition last year to help students across the country pursue their dreams.

Since 2008, the Dr Pepper Tuition Giveaway Promotion and Contest has changed lives by giving away millions of dollars in tuition. With the challenges of rising tuition costs and studying full-time, Dr Pepper takes pride in helping students achieve their goals.

If you’re a student between the ages of 18-24, you can submit your goal and upload a video by clicking Apply. Dr Pepper will select finalists for a chance to compete to win up to $100,000 in tuition at a college football conference championship game in December.

GoodRx Pharmacy Innovation Scholarship

The GoodRx mission is to provide the best healthcare savings to all Americans, starting with reliable, trustworthy information about prescription drugs. What better way to do this than by supporting the next generation of healthcare advocates? GoodRx is offering scholarships to future Doctors of Pharmacy and those who are studying to become Certified Pharmacy Technicians.

Up to 10 awards of $1,000 each will be provided. Applicants must be current college undergraduates or graduate-level students pursuing Pharmacy or Pharmacy Technician studies, at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school OR be currently studying or recently certified (within 6 months of application deadline date) as a CPhT through a certifying body such as the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

All applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

 

Great Unknowns Scholarship

Kia Motors America, Inc. has started the Great Unknowns Scholarship to award $5,000 renewable scholarships to students who embody the spirit of “give it everything.”

Applicants must be current high school seniors or undergraduates that are age 24 and under, as of the application deadline. Applicants must be attending or planning to attend an undergraduate program at an accredited two year or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year. Applicants must reside in the United States as a legal US citizen.

James Beard Foundation Scholarship Program

The James Beard Foundation (JBF) Scholarship program was established to assist aspiring and established culinary professionals who plan to further their education at a licensed or accredited culinary school or food-focused program.

The JBF Scholarship program is offering more than 90 scholarships from $1,000 up to $20,000 each.

To apply, students must be high school seniors or graduates planning to start or continue a course of study at a licensed or accredited culinary school or food-focused program in the 2019-2020 academic year. Additional eligibility requirements may apply for some of the JBF scholarships. Students complete one application to be considered for all JBF scholarships for which they meet the criteria.

Professional grants are also available for independent work, study and travel.

The John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest invites high school students from grades 9-12 to write an original essay of political courage demonstrated by a U.S. elected official who served during or after 1917. The first-place winner receives $10,000. Second-place received $3,000. Five finalists receive $1,000 each. Eight semifinalist receive $100 each. Essays must be submitted online or postmarked no later than January 15.

The Greeneville Kiwanis Club Scholarship Program is open to any graduating high school senior residing and attending high school in Greene County.  The student must be pursuing a program of higher education within six months of high school graduation.

 

Applications must be received by Friday, March 22, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.  Scholarship candidates will then be chosen and contacted for an interview.  Scholarship candidates will be notified by telephone on or before April 12, 2024 to schedule an interview.

Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship

The Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship program provides opportunities to students who want to build their talents and change the world!

Lockheed Martin will award 200 scholarships of $10,000 per student, renewable each year. Awards will be open to individuals studying eligible engineering or computer science majors, who demonstrate financial need and come from underrepresented or underserved communities. And the scholarship program doesn’t end with a check. Mentoring opportunities will be a key component of the program, and recipients will also be eligible for Lockheed Martin internship opportunities following their freshman year in college.

Military Commanders’ Scholarship Fund

The New York Chapter of the American Logistics Association sponsors up to 10 scholarships of $5,000 each, for dependent children of active duty, reserve, National Guard or retired members of the United States military who hold valid Exchange & Commissary shopping privileges at the time of application. Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll for the first time in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal. Financial need will also be considered.

The Northwestern Mutual Childhood Cancer Sibling Scholarship program assists siblings of individuals affected by childhood cancer who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. The scholarship program will award up to 10 renewable $5,000 scholarships.

To apply, students must be U.S. citizens, 25 years or younger and siblings of individuals who are in current treatment, have survived or passed away from pediatric childhood cancer. Applicants must plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year. Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) and demonstrate financial need.

Most clubs and fraternal organizations provide scholarships for dependent of their members.  Please check with your chapter.

 

State schools give a tuition break to children of state employees.

 

Most colleges/universities have a separate application for scholarships of that institution.  Please check at the financial aid office or in the guidance office.
