Coach Bowers – World History – Class Syllabus

 

Rules:

1.   THE GOLDEN RULE: TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED! (Matthew 7:12 & Luke 6:31)

2.   BE HERE AND BE ON TIME.

3.   COME TO CLASS EVERYDAY PREPARED TO WORK AND LEARN.

4.   DO WHAT YOU ARE INSTRUCTED TO DO AT ALL TIMES.

Procedures:

·        Classes will consist of lecture, quizzes, tests, daily work, videos, writing, research, and other activities.

·        Materials required for the class are as follows: textbook, paper, pen or pencil, and a three-ring binder or folder.

·        Missed Classes and Work – See me as soon as possible to get work you miss when absent.  If you wish to make up time you need to let me know ASAP.  All missed assignments will go in the grade book as a zero (0) until it is made up.

·        Extra Credit – Only available to those that absolutely need it.

·        Food and Drinks – This privilege is allowed as long as it does not interfere with my instructional time. Also trash must be discarded in the trashcans.

·        Hall Pass – Leaving this classroom is prohibited during regular class times.  Emergencies will be considered, though not guaranteed.  Leaving this class to go to clubs or to other teachers’ rooms requires written permission.

·        Seating – All my classes will have a seating chart, no questions asked. You are to remain in your seat at all times unless instructed otherwise.

30% - Quizzes                                          2nd Grading Period – 40%

30% - Class/Homework/Notes            Mid-Term Test – 10%

Weeks 16-18 – Contemporary World Since 1989 – Semester Test
