I have found that the easiest way to communicate with parents is through email because we both have busy schedules and email allows us to give our undivided attention to the matter at hand during the time of day that our individual schedules allow.

I am also available via phone.  My plan period is from 12pm-1:30pm, and this is the best time to contact me by phone.  However, you may also call the school at any time during school hours and leave your name and number with the school secretary so I can return your call at the end of the school day.

I teach English I and Content Reading, and I'm so happy to be teaching students who are entering the Freshmen Academy at West Greene High School!  One of my passions is for students to become better readers, and I just finished a masters at the University of Tennessee that has helped me so much in knowing how to provide students with strategies to use to help them in that endeavor. I will do my absolute best to motivate my students to read, but YOU can help so much by asking your child what he or she is reading.  I will have a link up SOON that will have some good conversation starters to get your child talking about what they are reading.  The absolute best way to improve at anything is practice.  Our students need to be reading every day.
