Purpose

The National Honors Society is an organization that promotes recognition for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. The motto for NHS is "Noblesse Oblige," a French term that means "Nobility Obligates." In broader terms it means those of high rank have the obligation to behave honorably, generously, and responsibly to others.

To be eligible for National Honors Society, you must be a Senior or Junior. You must have been at West Greene for at least one semester. You must have a 3.5 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale. You must maintain that average GPA or you may face dismissal unless corrected.
