FFA

Purpose

FFA is tied directly to Agriculture Education. It represents one of three components taught in the classroom. Students are encouraged to join FFA in order to help build leadership skills that will help them in the future whether it is in the work force or college.

FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agriculture education.

FFA at West Greene is very active at all three leves of the FFA (chapter, state, and national). Members can participate in many contests and events. Some of the contests include: Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Parliamentary Procedure, Land Judging,  Dairy Judging, Livestock Judging, Prepared Public Speaking, and Creed Speaking. Winning contests equals trips across the state and nation! Other activities include fun nights, trips to state and national conventions, cookouts, plant sales, and fruit sales. We have something for everyone! In FFA, the sky is the limit to how much you can achieve. Make a trip down to the Agriculture Building to see what it is all about.
